Mental Health and Wellness for the Workplace
It is everyone’s business to care enough to have serious and empathetic conversations about mental health and wellness. Developed by St. John Ambulance in collaboration with mental health field leaders, this course is designed to address and promote mental health wellness and reduce stigma in work places. This 7-hour peer support-based course prepares participants with the necessary skills, confidence, and knowledge to better identify and guide others who may be experiencing mental health challenges or illnesses including depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. This course is designed for peer support in the workplace and is not intended to be a substitute or replacement for clinical or professional help.
Note: For 2022, the course will be offered primarily through a virtual classroom platform scheduled for two 3.5 hour sessions. The one-day in-class course may be offered in select locations. Check the website for up-to-date schedules.
